Dale Supporters Trust board nomination process (30 June 2010)

Dale Supporters Trust would like to announce its nomination process to join the Trust Board for the 2010/11 season, is officially open with a closing date of 25 July 2010.

As you are all aware, Dale Supporters Trust is a democratic body, which means that its Board members have to be voted for by YOU its members, and everyone who is a Trust member has the chance to put themselves forward to stand on the Board. This will ensure that if members do not agree with the decisions its Board makes, they can vote to change things, with a number of spaces put up for election each year.

Don’t worry - this is not as stuffy as it sounds, there’s no need to be put off by talk of ballot boxes and election campaigns. It’s a chance for anyone who wants to get involved to do so.

As per the constitution, a number of the elected members of the Trust Board must put themselves up for election each year. Therefore an election would only be required if more people wanted to be involved than spaces available.

Anyone who wishes to stand for election to the Board can now put themselves forward.
In order to do so they must:-

• Be a Trust Member
• Aged Over 16

If you would like to join the Board, then please complete the form that is downloadable below.
Being a Board member can be a rewarding experience and the more people we have involved the more we can achieve, so if you are thinking about it then why not give it a go? Forms can be emailed to  info@daletrust.org.uk

Alternatively if you don’t want to commit to being a Board member but feel you could lend a helping hand, then please let us know.

Trust in us.

Rochdale Supporters Trust Membership Package 2010/11 (31 March 2010)

Rochdale Supporters Trust has announced its membership package for next season.

After giving the matter a lot of thought, the Trust has decided to increase its adult membership fee to £10 for the season.

Next season Trust membership will offer Rochdale supporters more benefits than ever before and we are increasing our membership fee to reflect that. By attending a few Trust events, such as the increasingly popular curry night, and taking advantage of some of the offers available to members through our Friends of the Trust scheme, by the end of the season your membership fee will have paid for itself.

We are hoping to grow our Friends of the Trust scheme dramatically over the coming months, so by the start of the season we will be offering even more discounts with local companies to our members.

What is more, season ticket holders who join the Trust before 30 May can enter a prize draw to win back the cost of their season ticket. Season ticket holders can return a voucher that will be contained within their season ticket book, along with a completed Trust membership form and joining fee, and be in with a chance of winning back the full cost of their season ticket. The returned vouchers will be placed into a hat and one lucky Trust member will have their season ticket cost fully reimbursed.

The Trust is giving its members more of a say in the club than ever before. By joining you automatically become a club shareholder through the Trust and can ask questions directly of the club directors through our bi-monthly club meetings. Email your questions to info@daletrust.org.uk and we will make sure that your point is heard and that you are answered directly.

Members will also be entered into draws to win one of 18 Trust places on matchball sponsorship hospitality days courtesy of the club, as well as one of six exclusive match packages and the chance to win tickets for a league match. There is also a draw every month for one member to present the Trust player of the month award in the Haworth Timber Lounge after a home game.

The Trust feels that it has grown and improved considerably over the course of the last 12 months and feels justified in increasing the membership fee as we now play a major role within the football club, undertaking major projects such as the Bowlee training ground improvements, at a cost of tens of thousands of pounds.

We still feel that our membership package offers excellent value for money in comparison with other Trusts at this level. Bury and Barnet both charge £10 to join their Trusts, while Stockport charge £12 and Grimsby £15. Lincoln charge £15 to season ticket holders and £25 to non-season ticket holders and they currently have 1400 senior members. Many of these clubs also charge for juniors.

Under-16 membership will remain free of charge next season and over the course of the summer we will be introducing a dramatically improved membership package to our younger members. Be sure to keep a lookout for further details of this.
