Ernie Cooksey RIP

Dale Supporters Trust would like to add our tribute to Ernie Cooksey and pass on our condolences to his family. It is fair to say that all Rochdale fans will mourn the passing of such a popular player and I am sure we can all hear the shouts of "Ernie Ernie" from the stands as we think of him. He was popular amongst supporters and he was a player who always gave 100% commitment to the team. His attitude, drive and enthusiasm was second to none. He was a great player and a pleasure to watch. The Trust would like to announce it's player of the month award for the forthcoming 2008/09 season will now be renamed in memory of Ernie Cooksey.


At this time our thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family, especially his girlfriend Louise and her expectant baby.
