Rochdale Supporters Trust/Factor 50 Golf Day
Friday 2nd July saw the first joint golf day for the benefit of the Factor 50 charity and Dale Supporters Trust.
The inaugural tournament was well attended for its first year, with 9 teams playing at Manchester Golf Club, playing for the Ernie Cooksey Memorial Cup.
A great day’s golf was had by all and the feedback from the attendees was all positive, with many pledging to re-attend the next year.
During the awards ceremony Gillian Nuttall from Factor 50 read out a heartfelt message from Ernie’s sister Joanne apologising that the family couldn’t attend due to it being the anniversary of Ernie’s death two years previously, but sent her best wishes and hoped that everyone had enjoyed their day.
Due to the attendance and several generous donations on the day, both Factor 50 and the Dale Supporters Trust raised £1000 each for their relative causes.
Both organisations would like to thank all that attended and hope not only do they rebook for next year’s event but encourage others to come along, as we hope to have more teams and a bigger and better event next summer.
